Perry County Covered Bridges Tour-Part Two
Perry County has 14 Covered Bridges. It takes about 2 hours and 13 minutes to see all of them. That is if you don’t get lost like I always do. It took me so much longer but it was enjoyable except finding Fleisher’s Bridge. I kept going past it and my GPS keep sending me in circles but it is just past the Fairgrounds less then a mile away. If you see a sign about the bridge only taking a certain amount of weight, turn that way (towards the right from the Fairgrounds).
In Part I, I listed New Germantown Covered Bridge to the Kochenderfer Covered Bridge which takes about 44 minutes. From Kochenderfer Covered Bridge to Waggoner is an extra 13 minute and 7.3 miles. From Waggoner to Fleisher are six bridges at the total of 1 hours and 16 minutes.
Also, check out the Perry County Covered Bridge and Wine Tour Route. They have a loop for you and it will take you by the different winery’s as well.
Watch out for bicycles, and horse and carriages. This is Amish Country.
