Little Parks around You like Wildlife Habitat Area Clairton Works near me

The Covid19 is going around but trying to find a place to get out of the house is very important for so many reasons such as getting natural vitamin D from the sun, exercising helps stress, getting out of the house for mental health reasons, etc.

But with all the fear of running in to others, it is hard to go to the local park when they are crawling with people trying to get out for the same reasons.

I have been lucky to find the Great Allegheny Passage (GAP) Trail which on an given day that I have been on it, I see less then 2 dozen people usually less then 5 people. At least once, I did not share the trail with anyone.

But some times I just want to sit some where and relax and not do a big hike.

I was driving around and found this little Wildlife Habitat Area-Clariton Works not 15 minutes from my house. I was actually driving by and pulled in. It looked like no one had been there for a while.

In addition, it only had parking for about 5 or 6 cars which is perfect. It was not very big but it was perfect to relax for a bit and read a book and walk around the trail that was laid out.

Every city has one of these out of the way that no one goes to any more. It is about finding them. I find a lot of places with typing in, “Things to do near me” in both my GPS and my computer. This park is not even listed but I was driving by it a few times and never saw any cars parked.

With Covid19 around, this is the perfect place to find. Think about places that most people don’t visit because they are out of the way or just not well traveled to because they have very few parking spots or things to do. They are the hidden treasury of today and getting out safely.

This park was great because it did have a little trail with signs about different plant and wild life. It was educational enough for children but not very long. It had a picnic area and a fire pit. Plus it had a creek off to the side. But with limited parking, I was also the only one in the area for about 2 hours just relaxing alone but outside.
