Journal 9/4/20-Great Allegheny Passage (GAP) Trail-A Dream Delayed
So, I have 27 mile left to complete the Great Allegheny Passage Trail. I was so looking forward to completing the trail this year. Unfortunately, I will not be able to do it for a while. I went over the Michaux State Forest for a week and during that time, I fell down a bunch of stairs.

I was at the top going to the second step and end up on my bottom on the last stair. I am all busted up but nothing broken just a few black and blue marks on my back, elbow, and leg. But my ankle is twisted, so I can walk on it but it hurts if I over do it. So, short walks are ok but not long ones for a bit.

By short walks, I am talking the grocery store or around a picnic area. The two places that I have left to do on the Great Allegheny Passage (GAP) Trail are from Ohioply to Connellsville which is 17 miles with no services and from Mckeesport to Homestead.

But I did get to see this wonderful waterfall on my way up the stairs. lol. So, all is good and I have several miles of the trail that I have not posted but they will be coming up. Just the 27 miles that I have left will have to wait until I heal up and the weather gets warmer, i.e. the ankle should be good in the next 4 or 5 weeks but that would be October and the weather can change in a heartbeat. I don’t want to get stuck on the trail if it starts to snow.
But there is always next year!!!!
