How to Rest at Greenbo Lake State Resort Park
Greenbo Lake State Resort Park is the perfect place to rest and relax. It offers cottages, rooms at the lodge, RV with full hook ups, and camp sites year round.
The camp sites start as low as $18 per night to $43 on a holiday. The lodge starts around $65 per night. The showers at the camp area have lots of wonderful hot water. I enjoyed my shower!
To totally relax, check in to the lodge! Get a room with a balcony that overlooks the lake and sip your morning coffee or a nice stiff evening drink.
After your coffee, start your morning with a boat rental and take a tour of the lake. Find a nice little corner and fish the day away or grab a book and just read the day away!
They have boat rentals for everything from a pedal boat to a kayaks to large pontoons to motor boats. But look at that lake!
The park also offers an 18 hole miniature golf course for those that would like to do a bit of putt putting during their stay. Plus close by their is a golf course for those that want a real course.
Or if you don’t want to do a boat, they have a nice little fishing pier.
The park also have over 28 miles of trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. The same areas that Daniel Boone once called home.
For the history buffs, the park also has what is left of the Buffalo Iron Furnace which was active between 1851-1900.
The furnace was an important supplier to the Union Army during the Civil War. The furnace employed 150 men and produced 15 tons in a 24 hour period.
But at the end of the day, hit up Anglers Cove Restaurant for catfish and seafood and a nice drink. The restaurant only has a full menu from 11:30 to 3 pm and 5 to 8 pm. But opens at 7am for a continental breakfast. Plus the restaurant specializes in ordering all their food local when possible. Check out the specials!!!!
