Fall Run Park, 10 mins outside of Pittsburgh, PA

Just outside Pittsburgh is this little park that has a wonderful waterfall. It is just a short walk up to the falls with some beautiful sights. The falls are about 30 feet high.

Located off highway 28 at 187 Fall Run Rd, Glenshaw, PA 15116. It less then a 10 minute drive from downtown Pittsburgh and less then a mile of a hike in.

Take a towel in more weather because you can walk right up to it and splash around.

Hike to the Falls

The hike into the falls is mostly flat with bridges over the stream that runs through the hike. Keep in eye out for flood warnings in the area. A few years back, the park was flooded and all the bridges were taken out. But it was a major storm that did it.

There is a park in the front and the trail head is in the back of the park.

The trail is mostly at least two arms length across and follows this stream.

It is not vary deep most of the time but it is pretty.

I just love the rocks that are along the trail.

This is another small waterfall that is along the way to the big one. There are several depending on the time of year. Some are dry during the summer but a few are still flowing.

Depending on the weather, there can be lots of people playing in the water.

But you can water right up to it and play on the rocks.

On the left side of the waterfall, there are stairs so you can walk up to the top of the waterfalls.

The stream at the top of the falls is very pretty.

Plus you can see the drop down if you walk to the top. It looks like steps.

The walk back to the car is just as enjoyable.

I have enjoyed going to this waterfall during the last few years. It was a great place that was so close Pittsburgh.
