A Relaxing Walk at Joseph E Ibberson Conservation Area

The Joseph E Ibberson Conservation Area is in Dauphin County not to far from Harrisburgh and about 35 minutes from Boyd Big Tree Preserve Conservation and Fort Hunter Mansion and Park.

When you arrive look back at the hill side across the road. It is just lovely. But the true treat is the big trees!

This is the place to come to feel small among the trees that tower above you. Inhale the wonderful smells of the forest and walk away your troubles as you the glory of mother nature. Or in my case, limp down the trail for a ways and realize that today is a none hike day because my ankle had not healed up. lol…

I hate being hurt. It takes away my ability to hike until I drop and explore in depth the new sights of a trail because just around the corner there must be something else to see!!!!

But even through I only did about a half of a mile in. It was a place to enjoy and get out of the rat race of a city and watch the squirrels race around be the end of summer to store up their food.

For me, hiking is about finding weird looking things like this tree with unique places for small animals to hide but finding want looks like a face on the bottom right. A short trip but so worth it.
